WWII Spam Hash With Onions

Yellow Onions-thinly sliced
1 tbsp
Butter
1 tbsp
Vegetable Oil
1 tbsp
Brown Sugar

A slightly refined version of the classic hash, incorporating a touch of sweetness and a more nuanced flavor profile.
Instructions
- Heat Butter and Vegetable Oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add Yellow Onions to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in Brown Sugar and Garlic Powder during the last 5 minutes of cooking the onions.
- Add Spam cubes to the skillet with the onions.
- Cook, stirring frequently, until the Spam is heated through and slightly crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with Black Pepper. Serve immediately.
