Uncle Edgar's Elderflower & Almond Florentines
Classic Florentines with a delicate elderflower aroma and crunchy almond texture. A delightful treat for tea time or a special occasion.

Granulated Sugar

Classic Florentines with a delicate elderflower aroma and crunchy almond texture. A delightful treat for tea time or a special occasion.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine all Dry Ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all Wet Ingredients until frothy.
- Gently fold the Wet Ingredients into the Dry Ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in half of the Sliced Almonds.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Sprinkle the remaining Sliced Almonds over the cookies.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt the Dark Chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled Florentines.
