Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, gently mash the Avocado Filling avocado with lime juice, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, flake salt, and freshly ground pepper until slightly chunky.
  2. Spread the European-style Butter on one side of each slice of Artisanal sourdough bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Spread the mashed avocado mixture evenly over the bread.
  5. Layer the Prosciutto over the avocado.
  6. Sprinkle the Gruyere and Fontina cheese over the prosciutto.
  7. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  8. Cook for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from skillet, drizzle with Balsamic glaze, and serve immediately.
