
Great-Aunt Tabitha's Spiced Cranberry And Walnut Conserve
A classic holiday conserve, perfect for cheese boards, biscuits, or as a glaze for meats. This version uses readily available ingredients and a straightforward method.

Fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup
Orange juice
1/4 cup
Apple cider

Orange-zest

A classic holiday conserve, perfect for cheese boards, biscuits, or as a glaze for meats. This version uses readily available ingredients and a straightforward method.
Instructions
- Combine all Cranberries, Fruit & Juice, and Sweeteners ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until cranberries have burst and the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the Spices and Walnut pieces. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely. The conserve will thicken further as it cools.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
