
Ham And Potato Casserole
A slightly more refined version of the classic, featuring thinly sliced potatoes, a nutmeg-infused cheese sauce, and a crispy breadcrumb topping.

A slightly more refined version of the classic, featuring thinly sliced potatoes, a nutmeg-infused cheese sauce, and a crispy breadcrumb topping.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange thinly sliced Potatoes in the prepared baking dish, overlapping slightly.
- Sprinkle diced Ham evenly over the potatoes.
- In a saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in All-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, creating a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in Nutmeg, Salt, White pepper, Gruyere cheese, and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. This is your Cheese Sauce.
- Pour Cheese Sauce evenly over the potatoes and ham.
- In a small bowl, combine Panko breadcrumbs and Melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
