1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper

A simplified, home-cook friendly version of the classic Popeyes Chicken Biscuit.

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken in Paprika, Garlic powder, Black pepper, Cayenne pepper, and Salt for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Breading by combining All-purpose flour, Cornstarch, Baking powder, Salt, and Black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dredge the marinated Chicken in the Breading, ensuring it's fully coated.
  4. Prepare the Biscuits: Combine All-purpose flour, Baking powder, and Salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add Buttermilk until a dough forms. Gently pat dough to 1 inch thickness and cut out biscuits.
  5. Fry the Chicken in Vegetable oil at 350°F (175°C) for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Bake the Biscuits at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Make the Sauce by combining Mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Pickle relish.
  8. Assemble the biscuits: Split the biscuits, spread with Sauce, and add a piece of fried Chicken.
