The Matriarch's Maple-Glazed Quail With Cranberry Compote
A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender quail glazed with maple syrup and served with a tart cranberry compote.

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender quail glazed with maple syrup and served with a tart cranberry compote.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season Quail with Salt and Black Pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together all Maple Glaze ingredients.
- Place Quail in a baking dish and brush generously with half of the Maple Glaze.
- Bake for 30 minutes, basting with remaining Maple Glaze halfway through.
- While Quail is baking, prepare the Cranberry Compote. In a saucepan, combine all Cranberry Compote ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until cranberries have burst and the compote has thickened.
- Serve Quail with Cranberry Compote.
