A comforting and flavorful wonton soup, perfect for a weeknight meal. This version uses readily available ingredients and a straightforward recipe.
Instructions
- Prepare the Wonton Filling: In a bowl, combine all Wonton Filling ingredients and mix well. Set aside.
- Assemble the Wontons: Place about 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Bring the two bottom corners together and overlap them, securing with a dab of water.
- Make the Broth: In a large pot, combine all Broth ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Cook the Wontons: Gently add the wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.
- Serve: Ladle the wontons and broth into bowls. Garnish with Green Onions.

- 8 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 inch Ginger-sliced
- 2 Green Onions-white parts, bruised

- Garnish
- 2 Green Onions-thinly sliced
- Wonton Wrappers
- 50 Wonton Wrappers
