Monte Cristo Wafflewich
A delightful sandwich featuring ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese between two waffles, dipped in an egg batter and fried to golden perfection. Served with a side of powdered sugar and jam.
Prepare the Egg Batter: In a shallow dish, whisk together the Eggs, Milk, Vanilla Extract, and Salt.
Assemble the Wafflewich: Place one Waffle on a clean surface. Layer with Ham, Turkey, and Swiss Cheese. Top with the second Waffle.
Dip in Egg Batter: Gently dip the entire Wafflewich into the Egg Batter, ensuring both sides are coated.
Fry the Wafflewich: Melt Butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully place the dipped Wafflewich into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Dust with Powdered Sugar and serve immediately with Strawberry Jam.
