Instructions
- Prepare the broth: In a large pot, combine the Beef broth, Fish sauce, Soy sauce, Ginger, Star anise, Cinnamon stick, and Sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Prepare the noodles: While the broth is simmering, cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.
- Prepare the beef: Thinly slice the Beef sirloin against the grain. Set aside.
- Assemble the pho: Divide the cooked rice noodles among bowls. Top with the raw Beef sirloin and pour the hot broth over the beef (the hot broth will cook the beef).
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with Bean sprouts, Cilantro, Basil, Green onions, and Jalapeno (if using). Serve immediately with Lime wedges on the side.
