1 cup Long-grain white rice
2 cups Water
1/2 tsp Salt
3 Apples- peeled, cored, and sliced
2 tbsp Butter

A comforting and simple baked rice dish with sweet apples and a hint of cinnamon.
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Combine Rice ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  3. While rice is cooking, melt Butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add Apples and cook for 5-7 minutes, until softened. Stir in Brown sugar and Cinnamon and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together Milk, Heavy cream, and Vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the cooked rice into the prepared baking dish. Top with the apple mixture. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the rice and apples.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly before serving.
