  1. Heat Vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced yellow onions to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes. Reduce heat if necessary to prevent burning.
  3. Pour in Beer and Beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  4. Stir in Brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Dried thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, grill or pan-fry Bratwurst links until cooked through and browned, about 15-20 minutes. Ensure internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Add cooked Bratwurst links to the skillet with the Beer Onions and simmer for 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Season with Salt and Black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
