🎙️ Cook with voice coach- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- To make the Biscuits, whisk together the Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the Cold Butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add the Milk, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat down to about inch thickness. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a knife.
- Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- While biscuits are baking, make the Chocolate Gravy. Melt the Butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in the Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in the Milk, ensuring no lumps form.
- Add the Cocoa Powder, Granulated Sugar, Vanilla Extract, and Salt. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, and cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Split the warm Biscuits and smother with the Chocolate Gravy. Serve immediately.
