Pearl Barley
4 cups
Milk - any kind
1 cup
Water
2 tbsp
Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp

A hearty and comforting porridge made with pearl barley, milk, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for a simple breakfast or a warming snack.
Instructions
- Rinse the Barley thoroughly under cold water.
- Combine the Barley, Milk, and Water in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the barley is tender and the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the Brown Sugar, Vanilla Extract, and Salt. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sugar is dissolved.
- Serve warm. Add a pat of butter or a drizzle of honey if desired.
