  1. Heat Olive Oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add Onion and Bell Pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add Garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  2. In a large bowl, mash Black Beans with a fork or potato masher, leaving some texture.
  3. Add the cooked Vegetables, Breadcrumbs, Egg, Chili Powder, Cumin, Smoked Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Salt, and Pepper to the mashed Black Beans. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  5. Cook the patties in the same skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly browned.
  6. Serve on buns with your favorite toppings.
