Heat Vegetable oil and Butter in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Add Ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
Add the Holy Trinity (Onion, Bell pepper, Celery) to the pot and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir in Cajun seasoning, Garlic powder, Black pepper, and Cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute more.
Add Long-grain rice to the pot and stir to coat with the meat and vegetable mixture.
Pour in Chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed.
Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
