1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black pepper
1 cup Long-grain white rice
2 cups Chicken broth

A comforting and easy-to-make creamy chicken and rice dish, perfect for a weeknight meal.
Instructions
  1. Season Chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, brown Chicken over medium-high heat. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté Onion until softened.
  4. Add Rice and Chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
  5. While rice is cooking, prepare the Sauce. In a separate saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in Garlic powder.
  7. Return Chicken to the skillet with the rice. Stir in Sauce and Frozen peas. Heat through.
  8. Serve immediately.
