1 1/2 cups Ham-diced
1/4 cup Butter
1/4 cup All-purpose flour
3 cups Milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Place Potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
  3. In a saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in All-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, creating a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in Salt, Black pepper, and Shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. This is your Cheese Sauce.
  6. In the prepared baking dish, combine cooked Potatoes, diced Ham, and Cheese Sauce. Mix well.
  7. Sprinkle Crushed potato chips evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
