Dinner has a soundtrack. 14 songs paced to this 62-minute cook—from first chop to clean kitchen.

Start the first song before you prep. Follow the recipe for cooking times, then let the final tracks carry you through cleanup.

  1. Mash the Black bean ingredients in a bowl until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture; stir in the Bread crumbs, Egg, Garlic powder, and Smoked paprika. Form into 4 patties and chill for 10 minutes to firm up.
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Add the Mushrooms and sauté until deeply browned and moisture has evaporated, about 6 minutes; remove from pan.
  3. Add remaining oil to the skillet and cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until a crust forms and the interior reaches 165°F.
  4. Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and cover the pan for 30 seconds to melt; serve on toasted buns topped with the browned mushrooms.
