  1. Heat Olive Oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add Yellow Onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add Garlic and cook for 1 minute more, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in Crushed Tomatoes and Tomato Sauce. Stir in Dried Basil, Dried Oregano, Red Pepper Flakes, Sugar, Salt, and Black Pepper.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat and carefully blend the soup using an immersion blender until smooth. Alternatively, let cool slightly and blend in batches in a regular blender.
  7. Stir in Heavy Cream until well combined.
  8. Heat through gently, but do not boil. Serve hot.
