1 cup Wild Rice
1/2 cup Long-Grain White Rice
1/2 cup Onion-diced
1/4 cup Celery-diced
2 tbsp Butter

A comforting and flavorful pilaf featuring wild rice, toasted pecans, and a touch of maple syrup.
Instructions
  1. Rinse the Wild Rice and White Rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the Butter over medium heat. Add the Onion and Celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the Wild Rice, White Rice, Thyme, Salt, and Pepper to the saucepan. Stir to coat with the butter and vegetables.
  4. Pour in the Chicken Broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 40-45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  5. While the rice is cooking, toast the Pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn them.
  6. Stir in the Maple Syrup and toasted Pecans into the cooked rice. Fluff with a fork and serve immediately.
