Dinner has a soundtrack. 12 songs paced to this 60-minute cook—from first chop to clean kitchen.

Start the first song before you prep. Follow the recipe for cooking times, then let the final tracks carry you through cleanup.

  1. In a large bowl, combine the Warm Milk, Granulated Sugar, and Active Dry Yeast. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add the Large Egg and Melted Butter to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Gradually add the All-Purpose Flour and Salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough to about inch thickness. Cut into fry shapes (approximately 3x1 inches).
  6. Heat the Vegetable Oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the beignet fries in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  8. Remove the fries and drain on paper towels.
  9. While still warm, toss the fries in Powdered Sugar to coat.
