  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt all Base ingredients in Butter over medium heat until softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Stir in Flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Gradually whisk in Clam Juice, ensuring no lumps form.
  4. Add Potatoes and Thyme. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in Heavy Cream and Milk. Heat through, but do not boil.
  6. Gently fold in Chopped Clams (with juice) and Cod. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until fish is cooked through and clams are heated.
  7. Season with Salt, Pepper, and Cayenne Pepper to taste. Serve hot.
