A quick and easy recipe for delicious miso glazed salmon, perfect for a weeknight meal. The savory and slightly sweet glaze complements the flaky salmon beautifully.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together all Miso Glaze ingredients: white miso paste, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined and smooth.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Generously brush the tops and sides of the salmon fillets with the miso glaze, ensuring an even coating.
- In a small skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets, skin-side down if using skin-on, into the hot oil. Sear for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Transfer the skillet with the salmon to the preheated oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
- Remove salmon from the oven. If desired, brush with any remaining glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
