A quick and easy recipe for delicious miso glazed salmon, perfect for a weeknight meal. The savory and slightly sweet glaze complements the flaky salmon beautifully.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all Miso Glaze ingredients: white miso paste, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined and smooth.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Generously brush the tops and sides of the salmon fillets with the miso glaze, ensuring an even coating.
  5. In a small skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets, skin-side down if using skin-on, into the hot oil. Sear for 2-3 minutes until the skin is crispy.
  6. Transfer the skillet with the salmon to the preheated oven. Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  7. Remove salmon from the oven. If desired, brush with any remaining glaze. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
