Dinner has a soundtrack. 20 songs paced to this 98-minute cook—from first chop to clean kitchen.

Start the first song before you prep. Follow the recipe for cooking times, then let the final tracks carry you through cleanup.

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all Meatballs ingredients except mozzarella. Mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Take a portion of the meat mixture and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a few cubes of mozzarella cheese in the center. Carefully wrap the meat around the cheese, ensuring it is fully sealed.
  4. Repeat with remaining meat mixture and cheese.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.
  7. While meatballs are baking, prepare the Sauce. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  8. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. Slice the sub rolls and spoon a generous amount of Sauce into each roll.
  10. Place 2-3 meatballs into each sub roll. Top with additional Sauce and serve immediately.
