Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine all Dough ingredients. Knead for 5-7 minutes until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. While the dough rises, prepare the Sauce by combining all Sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 12-inch round cake pan or cast iron skillet generously with vegetable oil.
  5. Punch down the risen dough and press it into the prepared pan, working it up the sides to create a raised edge.
  6. Spread the Sauce evenly over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle with Mozzarella Cheese, then top with Italian Sausage and Mushrooms.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
