  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in Salt, Pepper, and Nutmeg.
  5. Layer Potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour Sauce over the Potatoes, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Sprinkle Cheddar Cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until Potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
