Creamy Cheddar Grits With Bacon
A classic Southern comfort food dish featuring creamy grits, sharp cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon.

A classic Southern comfort food dish featuring creamy grits, sharp cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon.
Instructions
- Cook Bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, reserving 1 tablespoon of bacon grease.
- Bring Water and Salt to a boil in a medium saucepan.
- Gradually whisk in Grits and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until grits are tender.
- Stir in Butter and Milk until well combined.
- Remove from heat and stir in Cheddar Cheese until melted and creamy.
- Crumble cooked Bacon and sprinkle over grits. Serve immediately.
