  1. Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog, leaving about 1 inch exposed at the bottom.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all Corn Dog Batter ingredients until smooth. Ensure there are no lumps.
  3. Place the crushed Doritos in a shallow dish.
  4. Dip each hot dog into the Corn Dog Batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  5. Immediately dredge the battered hot dog in the crushed Doritos, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Carefully lower the corn dogs into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the corn dogs from the oil and place them on a wire rack lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve immediately.
