  1. In a large bowl, combine all Dry Ingredients.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together all Wet Ingredients.
  3. Pour the Wet Ingredients into the Dry Ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Heat about 2 inches of Vegetable Oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pot.
  6. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the hushpuppies with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  8. Serve warm.
