Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together all Dry Ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the Unsalted Butter and Granulated Sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the Large Egg and Vanilla Extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the Dry Ingredients to the Wet Ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Divide the dough in half, flatten into disks, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
  8. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters.
  9. Place cookies on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
